We have honestly tested all the products that we review! Underdog Rylie carries the title as our Tenacious and Talented Toy Tester (aka: “TNT”). She is dynamite on toys and has been known to destroy a toy in 5 minutes or less! Sweet Kody is our big dog Toy Tester.
We have also found products that make training, walking and traveling so much easier for the humans in a dog’s life. We’ll candidly share with you the ones that fall into our “not so much” category, too.

The Martingale is a nice alternative to a choke-chain collar for training. It applies the necessary pressure in a more gentle way. Both Sweet Kody and Rylie use this type of collar.

Shipyard Gate-Pen setup comes in 6 panel and 8 panel. I purchased 3 of the 6 panel units to enclose our patio. Each 6 panel unit includes a gate so there are several gate accesses on/off the patio. Easy to assemble, the only tools needed are if you want to secure it to a surface/wall, like we did. Then you’ll need a drill to screw the supports into place. Everything else is by hand. You can move the gate section to any location you’d like, too. LOVE this product! Great for quick solution!

Kody gets this in his water dish daily. Time will tell if it is effective as of this review we’ve only been using it about 2 weeks, that’s why no rating yet. It’s easy to use and something is better than nothing since we were falling down on the job of brushing his teeth.

Howling hit! For every one ordered, one is donated to a rescue.
I ordered this Reflective Nylon Leash through Amazon after Rylie chewed through her second walking leash. I got the 1″ size, a step up from the 3/4 ones she demolished. The size of the clasp was noticeable to Rylie and at first she kept trying to chew on it. Now that she’s used to it, this leash is working great!

So diappointed that I handed the toy to Rylie and then had to scramble to get it back. THAT is how quickly she snapped the integrity of this toy. Big WHINE on this one!
She cracked the top of the Triangle in minutes of starting to play with this toy! :-O

We thought the name meant it would last longer. NOT!! While Rylie LOVED this toy with the crackle sound and the soft chewable material that surrounds a tennis ball, she destroyed it in less than 2 hours!? We tried both the Hyena and the Leopard. We cut off the tails to avoid them being chewed off and then swallowed. WARNING: This is definitely NOT a toy to let your dog play with unsupervised.

KONG Extreme

Howling hit here!! All the way around, Kody and Rylie both love their KONG Extreme toys and we don’t have to worry about them chewing on these! They come in different sizes. Rylie doesn’t care which size she gets to play with and this toy stands up to her rigorous testing!
You can add treats to it. I usually fill it with freshly ground peanut butter from PCC and pop them in the fridge. Then, you’re ready with a great treat to keep them busy.
Works great for crate training. Rylie happliy goes into her crate for her peanut butter KONG!

KONG Squeezz Ball

Howling hit! In purple, of course. This ball is quite bouncy, so watch out when you toss it! It’s almost like a superball bounce and the size is perfect for Kody and Rylie insists that she can (and will) also play with this ball. Sometimes, it takes her a bit to get her mouth wrapped around it to pick it up. But that’s OK with us, slows her down a bit! <whew!>
Again, this toy has stood up to the rigors of our TNT tester! Aaaahhhrrrooooo!

Howling hit! The lower rating is for durability. Again, our TNT Toy Tester was able to compromise the integrity of this toy. It did take her a while, but I had to take it away before she ate bits of it she was able to get off.
Sad, because she would give this bone a 5-Star Rating.
