That’s not a barkable offense!

When Pops is within the fence, it’s not a barkable offense!

I am learning that not everything I see is a barkable offense – not everyone needs to know what I know. Sometimes, when I see my Pops appear seemingly out of nowhere, I sound the alert!! Only to find it is considered a false alarm. I am getting better and better at this every day. Things like the yard waste bin, the wheel barrow, the trash truck are all routine things that I am adjusting to, cuz that’s what I do! <ah-roooo-rooo-roooohh!>

Superpower: Vacuum

My vacuum cleaner face 🤨

While I have the superpower of cuteness, my Mom and Pops have the superpower of the vacuum. That machine that makes noise and is pushed and pulled around everywhere! I am proud to say that I don’t shed much, so it must be Kody’s fault that they have to use that big bad machine! I always have to be on alert when that thing is around!

I am the guard of my backyard.

I have a perfect view of my new backyard and what a yard it is!! I have seen big bunnies, little bunnies, big birds, little birds and sometimes people! I am learning which ones truly require my alert skills. It’s a serious job and someone’s gotta do it! Sweet Kody doesn’t have the view I have, he gets if view of the front yard to guard. This new home called “Camp Woodinville” has given me purpose! I love my new digs!

Mom and me at the park!

We visit the local Cottage Lake Park a lot. It has nice opens spaces, lake views and lots of distractions that are perfect for my training. Mom got a purple treat pouch to match my gear and we walk the park practicing all the things that she calls “manners.” Whatever she calls em, I’m in for those Zuke’s treats! Positive reinforcement, I call it biscuit enforcement. When I follow along, I get tasty rewards.

I can play toss like a Boss!

I absolutely LOVE to play toss. I can fetch it like a Boss, too! Mom picked up this pink soccer ball on the day she brought me home. I’m so glad she did because then I could show them both what I already knew, how to bring it back! We play this game a lot and I am learning the rules of the game: Stop (this usually means quit chewing), Drop (this means let go) and Sit (this is required before the next throw can commence!) All of these steps are required to get another toss!

I have several toys besides this one. I can make any of them a fetch toy, too! Betchya didn’t know THAT about me, either! <woof-woof!>

Puppies chew, that’s what we do!

I lost several of my puppy teeth while I was with my Foster Mom. But I have all my adult teeth now. Part of being a puppy is putting everything in my mouth! 🐶 Toys make sure I exercise my new teeth on appropriate things. I like this bone my Sweet Kody shared with me. It’s held up well to all my gnawing! I like to toss this one around cuz it makes a lot of “look at me!” noise 🐾 😁
