It’s my one month anniversary!

It’s been tough, but I’ve made it a month!

All the changes I’ve been through have tested my adaptability and ability to truly trust. But, I’m tough and here it’s been a full month in my new home at “Camp Woodinville.” I have a whole family of fur-friends and my Mom and Pops have been very sensitive to my early life start and experiences and how that might affect my willingness at some things. They are consistent in setting the boundaries so that I can “adapt” to my new life. And I simply LOVE my Sweet Kody and this blue bone that he gave me on my first night here. I am certain I’m gonna like it here!

Leave no trace, everyone needs personal space!

We walk routinely and I love it! Every morning, after Mom and Pops drink their energy drink (coffee) we go for a walk together and we go all the way around the block. We get to visit the designated Wilderness Space that’s part of the neighborhood. Lots of open green space and old growth trees with trails. We always arrive prepared to #leavenotrace and I am also learning that everyone needs their personal space. It’s just so hard for me to WAIT sometimes!

That’s not a barkable offense!

When Pops is within the fence, it’s not a barkable offense!

I am learning that not everything I see is a barkable offense – not everyone needs to know what I know. Sometimes, when I see my Pops appear seemingly out of nowhere, I sound the alert!! Only to find it is considered a false alarm. I am getting better and better at this every day. Things like the yard waste bin, the wheel barrow, the trash truck are all routine things that I am adjusting to, cuz that’s what I do! <ah-roooo-rooo-roooohh!>

Superpower: Vacuum

My vacuum cleaner face 🤨

While I have the superpower of cuteness, my Mom and Pops have the superpower of the vacuum. That machine that makes noise and is pushed and pulled around everywhere! I am proud to say that I don’t shed much, so it must be Kody’s fault that they have to use that big bad machine! I always have to be on alert when that thing is around!

I am the guard of my backyard.

I have a perfect view of my new backyard and what a yard it is!! I have seen big bunnies, little bunnies, big birds, little birds and sometimes people! I am learning which ones truly require my alert skills. It’s a serious job and someone’s gotta do it! Sweet Kody doesn’t have the view I have, he gets if view of the front yard to guard. This new home called “Camp Woodinville” has given me purpose! I love my new digs!
